Removal & Installation: PRIUS: Disassembly

- Remove CV joint boot clamps, and slide boots away from joint. Paint alignment marks on CV joint housings, tripod and shaft(s) for reassembly reference. DO NOT punch marks. Remove center axle shaft from axle shaft assembly. Remove snap ring.
- Place reference marks on axle shaft and tripod. Remove tripod and snap ring. Remove inboard joint boot and clamps. See Figure.
- Remove dynamic damper clamps and remove damper. Remove outboard joint boot from outboard axle shaft. Remove dust covers from inboard tulip and center axle shaft.
