Using Scan Tool

NOTE: Refer to hand-held tester operator's manual for further details.
  1. Turn ignition switch off.
  2. Connect LEXUS hand-held tester to (DLC3). See Figure.
  3. Set each test item to condition 1. See Fig 1.
  4. Start engine.
  5. Change each test item to condition 2. See Fig 1. Check that absorber control indicator light turns on for one second.
  6. Read DTC by following prompts on tester screen. If any DTCs are retrieved, perform appropriate test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
