Inspection Procedure

  1. Check the left hand outside rear view mirror assembly lowermost and uppermost positions operation. See Fig 1. If the operation is OK, go to the next step. If the operation is not OK, replace the left hand outside rear view mirror assembly. See OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY .
  2. Check the left hand outside rear view mirror assembly left-most and right-most positions operation. See Fig 2. If the operation is OK, go to the next step. If the operation is not OK, replace the left hand outside rear view mirror assembly. See OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY .
  3. Check the outside rear view mirror control ECU and left hand outside rear view mirror wiring harness. See Fig 3. If the continuity is OK, replace the outside rear view mirror control ECU assembly. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . If the continuity is not OK, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
  4. Check the right hand outside rear view mirror assembly lowermost and uppermost positions operation. See Fig 1. If the operation is OK, go to the next step. If the operation is not OK, replace the right hand outside rear view mirror assembly. See OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY .
  5. Check the right hand outside rear view mirror assembly left-most and right-most positions operation. See Fig 4. If the operation is OK, go to the next step. If the operation is not OK, replace the right hand outside rear view mirror assembly. See OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY .
  6. Check the outside rear view mirror control ECU and right hand outside rear view mirror wiring harness. See Fig 5. If the continuity is OK, replace the outside rear view mirror control ECU assembly. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . If the continuity is not OK, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
