Brake Actuator Assembly: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install 3 cushions and 2 holders to brake actuator. Install brake actuator to bracket with 2 nuts and, using special tool (09023-00100), tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install brake actuator with bracket and tighten 3 nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Connect the brake actuator harness connector.
  4. Using special tool (09023-00100), connect the 6 brake lines to the actuator.
  5. Fill reservoir with brake fluid and bleed master cylinder. See MASTER CYLINDER  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
  6. Bleed brake line. See BRAKE LINE  under BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM.
  7. Check fluid level in reservoir and check for brake fluid leakage. Check operation of brake actuator. See BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY  under COMPONENT TESTS.
