Inspection Procedure

NOTE: If using the hand-held tester, start the inspection from step  1 and if not using the hand-held tester, start from step  2.
  1. Check the power window motor using the hand-held tester. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3. Check the jam protection limit switch using DATA LIST. If the results are OK, check the jam protection pulse switch circuit. See JAM PROTECTION PULSE SWITCH CIRCUIT (FRONT) . If the results are not good, go to the next step.
  2. Check the jam protection limit switch. See JAM PROTECTION LIMIT SWITCH (FRONT)  under COMPONENT TESTS. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the power window motor. See FRONT DOOR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR  under COMPONENT TESTS.
  3. Check the wire harness and connector between the jam protection limit switch and door ECU (driver or passenger). If the results are OK, check the jam protection pulse switch circuit. See JAM PROTECTION PULSE SWITCH CIRCUIT (FRONT) . If the results are not good, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
