Inspection Procedure
NOTE:
If not using the LEXUS hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 2.
- Connect the LEXUS hand-held tester to the DLC3. See Figure. Check the mirror switch using DATA LIST. See Fig 1. If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 2 CONTROL SYSTEM) table. If the results are not good, go to the next step.
- Check the mirror switch. See appropriate POWER & ELECTRO CHROMIC MIRRORS article. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the mirror switch. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANEL article.
- Check the wiring harness and connector between the mirror switch and driver side junction block (body No. 2) ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the problem symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX (BODY NO. 2 CONTROL SYSTEM) table. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
