Power Steering Vane Pump: Removal
- Remove engine undercover.
- Remove the bolts, screws and engine under cover.
- Remove air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
- Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner inlet.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the clamp.
- Remove the 3 bolts and air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
- Remove drive belt.
- Loosen the drive belt tension by turning the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise, and remove the drive belt.
- Disconnect 2 vacuum hoses.
- Remove the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 vacuum hoses.
- Disconnect return hose.
- Remove the clip and disconnect the return hose.NOTE: Take care not to spill fluid on the drive belt.
- Remove the clip and disconnect the return hose.
- Disconnect 2 tube clamps.
- Disconnect pressure feed tube.
- Using SST, disconnect the pressure feed tube.
- SST 09023-12700
- Remove PS vane pump assembly.
- Remove the 2 nut, 2 bolts and PS vane pump assembly with the pressure feed tube.
- Remove pressure feed tube.
- Remove the union bolt, gasket and pressure feed tube.
