Lexus IS300

  1. Disconnect the solenoid connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between terminals. See Fig 1. Resistance should be approximately 20-28 ohms. If resistance value is not as specified, replace the solenoid. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 .
  2. Momentarily supply battery positive voltage to terminal No. 5, and ground terminal No. 4. Ensure that an operating noise can be heard from the solenoid. If the solenoid does not operate, replace the solenoid. See Fig 2 and Fig 3 .
