Inspection Procedure

  1. Remove the GAUGE fuse (15-amp) from the LH cowl side junction block behind the left kick panel and check the continuity of the fuse. If there is continuity, go to the next step. If there is not continuity, check for a short in all the harnesses and components connected to the GAUGE fuse. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect the wireless door lock ECU connector behind the lower No. 1 panel. See INSTRUMENT PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in INSTRUMENT PANEL article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Turn the ignition switch ON. Measure the voltage between terminal No. 13 (IG) of the ECU connector and body ground. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . If there is voltage of 10-14 volts, check and replace the faulty wireless door lock ECU located on the No. 1 instrument panel brace behind the lower No. 1 panel. See INSTRUMENT PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in INSTRUMENT PANEL article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the voltage is not as specified, check and repair the faulty harness and connector between the wireless door lock ECU and battery. See ANTI-THEFT under SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL.
