Inspection Procedure
Remove the wireless door lock ECU from the No. 1 instrument panel brace behind the lower No. 1 panel. See INSTRUMENT PANEL under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in INSTRUMENT PANEL article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Measure the signal between terminal No. 4 (TRLY) of the wireless door lock ECU and body ground, when the transmitter is ON and OFF. See Fig 1. If the results are OK, check and repair the faulty harness and connector between the wireless door lock ECU and taillight relay circuit. See ANTI-THEFT under SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article in ELECTRICAL. If the results are not good, replace the faulty wireless door lock ECU located on the No. 1 instrument panel brace behind the lower No. 1 panel.
