Power Window Motor PTC Operation (Passenger)

  1. Disconnect the connector from the power window switch.
  2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal No. 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal No. 6 on the wiring harness side power window switch connector and raise the window to the fully closed position. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION .
  3. Continue to apply voltage, check that there is a PTC operation noise within approximately 4-90 seconds.
  4. Reverse the polarity, check that the window begins to descend within approximately 60 seconds. If operation is not as specified, replace the motor. See POWER WINDOW MOTOR (FRONT)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
