Inspection Procedure

USE LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER
1. NO: GO TO STEP 3
2. YES: GO TO NEXT STEP

READ VALUE OF LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER

ECU DATA MONITOR

Make a judgement of good or bad and find out a malfunctioning part by the data monitor.

DRIVER SIDE J/B

Standard:

STANDARD CHART

Item	Condition	Specified condition
OUTER MIRROR FOIL SW	OFF --> Retract	ON --> OFF
OUTER MIRROR RETRN SW	OFF --> Reinstate	ON --> OFF

OK: FLOW CHART 2 (SEE DOOR MIRROR CIRCUIT (FLOW CHART 2) )
NG: GO TO NEXT STEP.

INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY

Check the continuity between each terminal of the retract switch.

Standard:

STANDARD CHART

Switch position	Terminals	Specified condition
Return	-	No continuity
Reinstate	4 <=> 5	Continuity

NG: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.

CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RETRACT SWITCH - DRIVER SIDE J/B)

Disconnect the retract switch and driver side J/B connectors.

Check the continuity between each terminal of the retract switch vehicle's side connector and the driver side J/B vehicle's side connector. (See TERMINALS OF ECU )

Standard:

STANDARD CHART

Terminals (Mirror SW - Driver J/B)	Specified condition
M4-4 <=> D5-8 (Retract SW <=> RET)	Continuity

NOTE:

With LEXUS hand-held tester, proceed to "OK-A"
Without LEXUS hand-held tester, proceed to "OK-B"

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
