Power Window Control System - Diagnosis: Pre-Check

  1. POWER WINDOW OPERATION MODE 
    NOTE: Initial condition that the customizing function by LEXUS hand-held tester is not chosen is shown.
    1. Standard:

  2. POWER WINDOW FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION 
    1. When an abnormality is detected in the limit switch and pulse sensor for operating the jam protection function (DTC: B1231/31, B1232/32, B1233/33, B1234/34), the following power window operations will be prohibited for fail-safe.

    NOTE: In case of normal limit switch, prohibition (fail-safe function) will be cancelled by fully opening the door glass of fully-closed by manual operation then AUTO operation will be possible.
  3. INSPECTION WITH LEXUS HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. ECU Data Monitor:
      1. Make a judgement of good or bad and find out a malfunctioning part by the ECU data monitor.

      Standard: 

      Door ECU (driver's side) (switch condition)

      STANDARD VALUE SPECIFICATION

      Window full-close position --> 1 / 4 open position Power window is going UP by manual operation OK/CAUTION (1)
      Window 1 / 4 open position --> 2 / 4 open position Power window is going UP by manual operation OK/CAUTION (1)
      Window 2/4 open position --> 3 / 4 open position Power window is going UP by manual operation OK/CAUTION (1)
      Window 3 / 4 open position --> full-open position Power window is going UP by manual operation OK / CAUTION (1)
      (1) "CAUTION" is indicated when something caught in the window is detected.
    2. Active Test:
      1. Make a judgement of good or bad and find out a malfunctioning part by the active test.

      Standard: 

      Door ECU (driver's side, passenger's side)
