Oil Pump ASSY: Overhaul

1. Remove the plug, spring and relief valve.

1. Remove the 10 screws, pump body cover and the drive and driven rotors.

1. Coat the relief valve with engine oil and drop it to the relief valve hole.
2. Check that the relief valve falls smoothly by its own weight.

1. Install the rotors to the oil pump body and align the rotors matchmarks.
2. Check the clearance between the rotors.

   1. Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the drive and driven rotor tips.

   Clearance:

   If the clearance is greater than the maximum, replace a set of the drive and driven rotor.

3. Check the rotors side clearance.
   1. Using a feeler gauge and precision straight edge, measure the clearance between the rotors and precision straight edge.

   If the clearance is greater than the maximum, replace a set of the drive and driven rotor.

4. Check the clearance between the oil pump body and driven rotor.

1. Using a feeler gauge, measure the clearance between the oil pump body and driven rotor.

If the clearance is greater than the maximum, replace the oil pump assembly.
