Compressor And Magnetic Clutch: Installation

  1. INSTALL COMPRESSOR 
    1. Install the compressor with the 3 bolts and bracket.

      Torque: 49 N.m (500 kgf.cm, 36 ft.lbf) 

    2. Install the nut.

      Torque: 30 N.m (300 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lbf) 

    3. Connect the connector.
  2. CONNECT DISCHARGE AND SUCTION HOSES 
    1. Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install them to the hoses.
    2. Connect the both hoses with 2 nuts.

    Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    NOTE: Hose should be connected immediately after the caps have been removed.
  3. INSTALL DRIVE BELT (See  INSTALLATION  ). 
  4. INSPECT DRIVE BELT TENSION (See  DRIVE BELT  ). 
  5. CONNECT NEGATIVE (-) TERMINAL CABLE TO BATTERY 
  6. EVACUATE AIR FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM AND CHARGE SYSTEM WITH REFRIGERANT 

    Specified Amount: 

    Single A/C: 650 +/- 50 g (22.93 +/- 1.76 oz.) 

    Dual A/C: 900 +/- 50 g (31.74 +/- 1.76 oz.) 

  7. INSPECT FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT 

    Using a gas leak detector, check for leakage of refrigerant.

    If there is leakage, check the tightening torque at the joints.

  8. INSPECT A/C OPERATION
