Section 155 (Air Conditioning System): Condenser: Removal

- DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
HINT:
At the time of installation, please refer to the following item. Evacuate air from refrigeration system.
Charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant.
Specified Amount:
Single A/C: 650 +/- 50 g (22.93 +/- 1.76 oz.)
Dual A/C: 900 +/- 50 g (31.74 +/- 1.76 oz.)
- REMOVE AIR INLET DUCT
- REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
- DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE AND LIQUID TUBE
- Remove the bolt and bracket.
- Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the hose and tube.
Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.HINT:
At the time of installation, please refer to the following item. Lubricate 2 new O-rings with compressor oil and install the hose and tube.
- REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER SEAL
- Remove the 2 nuts and 2 radiator brackets.
- Remove the 2 bolts.
- Disconnect the 3 connectors.
- Remove the 2 bolts and 2 horns.
- Remove the bolt and smog ventilation sensor.
- Remove the cover, nut, 2 bolts and food lock.
- Remove the cover, nut, 2 clips and wire cover.
- Remove the 5 bolts and radiator upper seal.
- Remove the 3 wire harness clamps.
- REMOVE CONDENSER
- Push down the 2 condenser brackets as shown.
- Push the radiator toward the engine.
- Push the condenser toward toe radiator pull it upward.
