Inspection Procedure

- CHECK WIRE HARNESS
- Disconnect the R28 and R41 oscillator connectors.
- Measure the voltage and resistance between the wire harness side connectors and body ground.
Standard:
Luggage oscillator inner:
Luggage oscillator outer:
NG: REPLACE OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING HAND-HELD TESTER
- Connect the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and press the hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the item below in the ACTIVE TEST and then check that the oscillator operates.
Theft warning ECU:
OK:
When the smart key is brought close to a room oscillator that is ON, the indicator on the smart key illuminates.
NG: Go to step 3
OK: Go to next step
PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (THEFT WARNING ECU - ROOM OSCILLATOR (FRONT AND REAR)) (THEFT WARNING ECU OR ROOM OSCILLATOR (FRONT AND REAR) - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the T5 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the R28 room oscillator front assy connector.
- Disconnect the R41 room oscillator rear assy connector.
- Measure the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
Room oscillator front:
Room oscillator rear:
NG: REPLACE OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN ON PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
