Front Power Seat Control System: Inspection

  1. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 
    1. Measure the resistance between each terminal when each switch is operated.

      Standard (Slide switch): 

      FRONT POWER SEAT SLIDE SWITCH LH TERMINAL RESISTANCE CHART

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 - 9
      4 - 6
      FRONT Below 1 Ω
      6 - 4 - 9 OFF Below 1 Ω
      4 - 9
      1 - 6
      REAR Below 1 Ω

      Standard (Front vertical switch): 

      FRONT POWER SEAT VERTICAL SWITCH LH TERMINAL RESISTANCE CHART

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 - 10
      4 - 5
      UP Below 1 Ω
      5 - 4 - 10 OFF Below 1 Ω
      4 - 10
      1 - 5
      DOWN Below 1 Ω

      Standard (Lifter switch): 

      FRONT POWER SEAT LIFTER SWITCH LH TERMINAL RESISTANCE CHART

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 - 7
      4 - 8
      UP Below 1 Ω
      7 - 4 - 8 OFF Below 1 Ω
      1 - 8
      4 - 7
      DOWN Below 1 Ω

      Standard (Reclining switch): 

      FRONT POWER SEAT RECLINING SWITCH LH TERMINAL RESISTANCE CHART

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 - 3
      2 - 4
      FRONT Below 1 Ω
      2 - 4 - 3 OFF Below 1 Ω
      1 - 2
      3 - 4
      REAR Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front power seat switch.

  2. INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH 
    1. Measure the resistance between each terminal when each switch is operated.

      Standard (Slide switch):

      Standard (Rear vertical switch): 

      FRONT POWER SEAT REAR VERTICAL SWITCH RH TERMINAL RESISTANCE CHART

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 - 8
      4 - 7
      UP Below 1 Ω
      7 - 4 - 8 OFF Below 1 Ω
      1 - 7
      4 - 8
      DOWN Below 1 Ω

      Standard (Reclining switch): 

      FRONT POWER SEAT RECLINING SWITCH RH TERMINAL RESISTANCE CHART

      If the result is not as specified, replace the front power seat switch.

  3. INSPECT POWER SEAT FRONT RH SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Measure the resistance between each terminal when each switch is operated.

      Standard: 

      POWER SEAT FRONT RH SWITCH ASSY TERMINAL RESISTANCE CHART

      Terminal No. Switch position Specified condition
      1 - 4
      2 - 3
      FRONT Below 1 Ω
      3 - 2 - 4 OFF Below 1 Ω
      1 - 3
      2 - 4
      REAR Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat switch.

  4. INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSY RH 
    1. Inspect the motor operation.

      Standard: 

      LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSY RH TESTER SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester condition Specified condition
      Battery positive voltage - 1
      Battery negative voltage - 2
      Clockwise
      Battery positive voltage - 2
      Battery negative voltage - 1
      Counterclockwise

      If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat motor.

  5. INSPECT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY 
    1. Inspect the motor operation.
      1. Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminal.

        Standard: 

        POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY TESTER SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

        Tester condition Specified condition
        Battery positive voltage - 1
        Battery negative voltage - 2
        Counterclockwise
        Battery positive voltage - 2
        Battery negative voltage - 1
        Clockwise

        If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat motor.
