Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK FUSE 
    1. Check if the ECU-B and ECU-ACC fuses are normal.
    1. NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY 
    1. Remove the outer mirror switch assy.
    2. Left side for left/right adjustment switch: inspect the left side mirror switch continuity.

      STANDARD: 

      INSPECTING LEFT SIDE MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY REFERENCE DATA

      Switch position Terminal No. Specified condition
      OFF - No continuity
      UP R8-3 - R8-4
      R8-7 - R8-8      		 Continuity
      DOWN R8-3 - R8-8
      R8-4 - R8-7      		 Continuity
      LEFT R8-4 - R8-9
      R8-7 - R8-8      		 Continuity
      RIGHT R8-4 - R8-7
      R8-8 - R8-9      		 Continuity

      If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

    3. Right side for left/right adjustment switch:

      Inspect the right side mirror switch continuity.

      STANDARD: 

      INSPECTING RIGHT SIDE MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY REFERENCE DATA

      Switch position Terminal No. Specified condition
      OFF - No continuity
      UP R8-2 - R8-4
      R8-1 - R8-7 -R8-8      		 Continuity
      DOWN R8-4 - R8-7
      R8-1 - R8-2 - R8-8      		 Continuity
      LEFT R8-1 - R8-7 - R8-8
      R8-4-R8-10      		 Continuity
      RIGHT R8-4 - R8-7
      R8-1 -R8-8-R8-10      		 Continuity

      If the continuity is not as specified, replace the switch.

    1. NG: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY 
    2. OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU - OUTER MIRROR SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect the M2 outer mirror switch and M8 outer mirror control ECU connectors.
    2. Check the continuity between the disconnected connectors.

      STANDARD: 

      CHECKING CONTINUITY - SPECIFICATION

      B <==> SWB(R8-4 <==> M2-17) Continuity
      E <==> SWE(R8-8 <==> M2-16) Continuity
      MLV <==> SWLV (R8-3 <==> M2-6) Continuity
      MRV <==> SWRV (R8-2 <==> M2-5) Continuity
      MLH <==> SWLH (R8-9 <==> M2-4) Continuity
      MRH <==> SWRH (R8-10 <==> M2-3) Continuity

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSY
