Driving Position Memory: Operation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Toyota Avalon. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

When button No. 1 or No. 2 on driving position memory switch is pushed, driver seat and power outside rearview mirrors will automatically adjust to the positions recorded for that button. Driving position memory function cannot be operated while vehicle is moving. Driving position memory function can be activated when ignition is ON with transmission in PARK position, or within 30 seconds after opening driver door without key in ignition. Automatic adjustment of driving position will stop if brake pedal is depressed after initiating driving position memory function. Driving position memory will be erased from power seat ECU if battery is disconnected.
