Outside Rear View Mirror: Removal

  1. REMOVE LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the lower frame bracket garnish.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE POWER WINDOW SWITCH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the power window switch as shown in the illustration.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  3. w/ Mark Levinson: 

    REMOVE CENTER SPEAKER 

    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the center speaker.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL No. 2 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the door inside handle bezel No. 2 as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL No. 1 
    1. Remove the screw.
    2. Using a screwdriver, remove the door inside handle bezel No. 1 as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE DOOR COURTESY LIGHT 

    Using a screwdriver, remove the door courtesy light then disconnect the connector.

    HINT:

    Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE SEAT MEMORY SWITCH 
    1. Using a screwdriver, remove the seat memory switch.

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  8. REMOVE DOOR TRIM 
    1. Remove the 2 caps and the 7 screws.
    2. Remove the 3 clips.
    3. Insert a screwdriver between the door and the door trim to pry the trim.
      NOTE: Be careful not to damage the door and door trim. 

      HINT:

      Tape up the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Pull the trim upward to remove it.

  9. REMOVE TWEETER SPEAKER 

    Disconnect the connector, then remove the screw and the tweeter speaker.

  10. REMOVE OUTSIDE REAR VIEW MIRROR 
  1. Disconnect the connector.
  2. Remove the 3 bolts.
  3. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
