Section 214 (Wireless Door Lock Control System (W/Smart Key System) - Diagnosis): Inspection: Replacement

NOTE: Take extra care when handing these precision electron components.
  1. REMOVE TRANSMITTER BATTERY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, pry up the outer cover.
      NOTE: Do not forcibly pry up the cover.

    2. Lightly shake the key to take out the transmitter as shown in the illustration.

    3. Remove the battery holder.
    4. Remove the battery (lithium battery) from the battery holder.
    NOTE:
    • Do not push the terminals with your finger. 
    • Fully insert the holder into the transmitter.

  2. INSTALL TRANSMITTER BATTERY 
    1. Install a new battery (lithium battery) with the positive (+) side up.
      NOTE:
      • Be sure that the positive side and the negative side of the transmitter battery are matched up correctly.
      • Be careful not to bend the transmitter battery electrode during insertion.
      • Keep the transmitter case interior free of dust and oil.
    2. Install the outer cover.
