Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSY 
    1. Check that the malfunction disappears when known good microphone is installed.

      Result: 

      A: Malfunction does not disappear. 

      B: Malfunction disappear. 

    1. B: REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSY 
    2. A: Go to next step. 
  2. CHECK MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER ASSY 
    1. Check that the malfunction disappear when known good microphone amplifier is installed.

      Result: 

      A: Malfunction does not disappear. 

      B: Malfunction disappear. 

    1. B: REPLACE MICROPHONE AMPLIFIER ASSY 
    2. A: Go to next step. 
  3. CHECK TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSY 
    1. Check that the malfunction disappears when known good transceiver is installed.

      Result: 

      A: Malfunction does not disappear. 

      B: Malfunction disappears. 

    1. B: REPLACE TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSY (See  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  ) 
    2. A: Go to next step. 

      REPLACE TELEPHONE ECU ASSY (MAYDAY ECU) (See  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING  )
