Front Door: Adjustment

HINT:

In the RH side, work in the same procedure as in the LH side.

HINT:

Since the centering bolt is used as a door hinge set bolt, the door can not be adjusted with it on. Substituting a bolt with washer for the centering bolt will allow for adjustment of the hood hinges and hood lock.

INSPECT FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSY LH

Check that the clearance is within the standard value.

ADJUST FRONT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSY LH
1. Using SST, horizontally and vertically adjust the door by loosening the body side hinge bolts.
  SST 09812-00010, 09812-00020
2. Tighten the body side hinge bolts after adjustment.
  Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)

3. Adjust the door forward/rearward and vertically by loosening the door side hinge bolts.
4. Tighten the door side hinge bolts after adjustment.
  Torque: 26 N.m (265 kgf.cm, 19 ft.lbf)

5. Using a roof-moulding remover, remove the door lock striker cover front.

6. Adjust the striker position by slightly loosening the striker mounting screws, and hit the striker with a brass bar and hammer.
7. Tighten the striker mounting screws again.
  Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf.cm, 17 ft.lbf)
