Power Mirror Control System: Inspection

  1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR SWITCH ASSY 
    1. The L side of the left/right adjustment switch:

      Inspect the mirror switch resistance.

      Standard (Left side): 

      OUTER MIRROR SWITCH (LEFT SIDE)

      Terminal No. Switch Position Specified Condition
      - OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      4-8 UP Below 1 Ω
      6-7
      4-7 DOWN Below 1 Ω
      6-8
      5-8 LEFT Below 1 Ω
      6-7
      5-7 RIGHT Below 1 Ω
      6-8

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

    2. The R side of the left/right adjustment switch:

      Inspect the mirror switch resistance.

      Standard (Right side): 

      OUTER MIRROR SWITCH (RIGHT SIDE)

      Terminal No. Switch Position Specified Condition
      - OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      3-8 UP Below 1 Ω
      6-7
      3-7 DOWN Below 1 Ω
      6-8
      2-8 LEFT Below 1 Ω
      6-7
      2-7 RIGHT Below 1 Ω
      6-8

      If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.

  2. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY LH 
    1. Disconnect the mirror connector.
    2. Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the mirror face, as shown in Fig 3 and Fig 2 .

    Standard (LH):

    If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.

  3. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSY RH 
    1. Disconnect the mirror connector.
    2. Apply battery voltage and inspect operation of the mirror face, as shown in Fig 5 and Fig 4 .

      Standard (RH):

      If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror assy.
