Section 393 (Front Power Seat Control System): Inspection
- INSPECT SEAT MEMORY SWITCH (w/ MEMORY)
- Inspect the switch continuity.
Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the switch assy.
- INSPECT FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (w/o MEMORY)
- Inspect the continuity between the terminals when each switch is operated.

- INSPECT POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSY (LUMBAR SUPPORT)
- Inspect the continuity between the terminals when the switch is operated.
Standard:
POWER SEAT SWITCH ASSY TERMINALS CONTINUITY (LUMBAR SUPPORT)Terminal No. Switch Position Specified Condition 1 <=> 2 HOLD Continuity 3 <=> 4 3 <=> 2 <=> 4 OFF Continuity 1 <=> 3 RELEASE Continuity 4 <=> 5 If the result is not as specified, replace the power seat switch assy.
- INSPECT FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSY
- Inspect operation of the slide motor.
- Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.
Standard:
SLIDE MOTOR TESTER CONDITION AND OPERATIONAL DIRECTIONTester Condition Operational Direction Battery positive voltage --> 1 Battery negative voltage --> 2 Clockwise Battery positive voltage --> 2 Battery negative voltage --> 1 Counterclockwise If the result is not as specified, replace the slide motor.
- LH side:
Inspect operation of the front vertical motor.
- Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.
Standard:
FRONT VERTICAL MOTOR TESTER CONDITION AND OPERATIONAL DIRECTIONTester Condition Operational Direction Battery positive voltage --> 1 Battery negative voltage --> 2 Clockwise Battery positive voltage --> 2 Battery negative voltage --> 1 Counterclockwise If the result is not as specified, replace the front vertical motor.
- LH side:
Inspect operation of the lifter motor.
- Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.
Standard:
LIFTER MOTOR TESTER CONDITION AND OPERATIONAL DIRECTIONTester Condition Operational Direction Battery positive voltage --> 1 Battery negative voltage --> 2 Clockwise Battery positive voltage --> 2 Battery negative voltage --> 1 Counterclockwise If the result is not as specified, replace the lifter motor.
- Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.
- Inspect operation of the reclining motor.
- Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.
Standard:
RECLINING MOTOR TESTER CONDITION AND OPERATIONAL DIRECTIONTester Condition Operational Direction Battery positive voltage --> 1 Battery negative voltage --> 2 Clockwise Battery positive voltage --> 2 Battery negative voltage --> 1 Counterclockwise If the result is not as specified, replace the reclining motor.
- Inspect operation of the slide motor.
- LH side: INSPECT LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSY
- Inspect operation of the motor.
Standard:

If the result is not as specified, replace the lumbar support adjuster motor.
