ECM (2UZ-FE): Replacement

  1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER NO. 2. See  INSTRUMENT PANEL/METER  .
  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL ORNAMENT. See  INSTRUMENT PANEL/METER  .
  3. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY. See  INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSY  . 
  4. REMOVE ECM 
    1. Disconnect the 5 the ECM connectors from the ECM.
    2. Remove the 3 nuts and the ECM.
    3. Remove the 2 screws and the ECM bracket No. 1 from the ECM.
    4. Remove the 2 screws and the ECM bracket No. 2 from the ECM.

  5. INSTALL ECM 
    1. Install the ECM bracket No. 2 with the 2 screws to the ECM.
    2. Install the ECM bracket No. 1 with the 2 screws to the ECM.
    3. Install the ECM with the 3 nuts.
      1. Torque: 13 N.m (133 kgf. cm, 10 ft. lb) 
    4. Connect the 5 ECM connectors to the ECM.
