Without Hand-Held Sensor
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Using special tool (09843-18040), connect terminals Tc and CG of DLC3. See Figure.
- Start the engine and check that the ABS warning light blinks. If the ABS warning light does not blink, inspect the ABS warning light circuit and Ts circuit. See SYSTEM TESTING .
- Drive the vehicle straight forward and faster than 28 mph (45 km/h) for several seconds. Check that the ABS warning light comes off.
- Stop the vehicle.
- Read the number of blinks of the ABS warning light. If every sensor is normal, there is a normal code output (0.25 second ON and 0.25 second OFF). For abnormal codes see DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS .
- If 2 or more malfunctions are indicated at the same time, the lowest numbered code will be displayed first.
- After doing the check, turn the ignition switch OFF and remove the special tool from the DLC3.
