Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus IS 300 and 2002 Lexus IS 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check the power window master switch circuit using DTC check. See DTC B1211/11: POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH ECU COMMUNICATION STOP under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS under MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM article under COMMUNICATION DEVICES in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the results are not OK, go to the next step.
  2. Check the power window master switch. See POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH CIRCUIT under CIRCUIT TESTS under POWER WINDOWS article under WINDOWS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not OK, replace the power window master switch.
  3. Check the wiring harness and connector between the power window master switch and body ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX  table. If the results are not OK, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
