Hood Lock Control: Removal
HINT:
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt table. (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS )
- REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER
- REMOVE LOWER FINISH PANEL
- Remove the 3 screws and lower finish panel.
- Disconnect the connectors and hood lock control cable.
- REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE
Remove the screw, 2 clips and radiator grille.
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER
Remove the bolt and hood lock control cable cover.
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK
- Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock bolt cap.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Remove the 3 bolts and hood lock.
- Using a screwdriver, open the cover, then disconnect the hood lock control cable.

- Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock bolt cap.
- REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE
- Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable from the clamps.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Pull the cable from the engine room to remove it.
- Using a screwdriver, disconnect the cable from the clamps.
