Inspection Procedure

- Check the door unlock detection switch. See appropriate DOOR UNLOCK DETECTION SWITCH test under COMPONENT TESTS under POWER DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK LID article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not OK, replace the door unlock detection switch. See DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under POWER DOOR LOCKS & TRUNK LID article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
- Check the wiring harness and connector between the door unlock detection switch and body ECU. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If the results are OK, proceed to the next circuit inspection of the symptom. See PROBLEM SYMPTOM INDEX table. If the results are not OK, repair or replace the wiring harness or connector.
