Problem Symptoms Table

PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE - POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM

Symptom Suspected Area
Both right and left mirrors do not operate.
  1. Power source circuit (Driver side J/B ECU)
  2. Mirror switch circuit

If the 2 suspected areas above is functioning normally, replace the driver side J/B ECU.
Driver side mirror does not operate.
  1. Power source circuit (Driver door ECU)
  2. Mirror motor circuit
  3. Mirror position sensor circuit (w/memory)
  4. Mirror switch circuit If the 4 suspected areas above is functioning normally, replace the driver door ECU and driver side J/B ECU.
Passenger side mirror does not operate.
  1. Power source circuit (Front passenger door ECU)
  2. Mirror motor circuit
  3. Mirror position sensor circuit (w/memory)
  4. Mirror switch circuit

If the 4 suspected areas above is functioning normally, replace the passenger door ECU and driver side J/B ECU.
Retract mirror does not operate.
  1. Retract mirror switch
  2. Retract motor circuit

If the 2 suspected areas above is functioning normally, replace the driver side J/B ECU and malfunctioning door ECU.
Driving position memory system does not operate.
  1. Mirror position sensor circuit
  2. Driving position memory switch circuit (w/memory)

If the 2 suspected areas above is functioning normally, replace the driver seat ECU(1) and malfunctioning door ECU.
Mirror defogger system does not operate.
  1. Mirror defogger circuit

If the suspected areas above is functioning normally, replace the malfunctioning door ECU.
Automatic glare-resistant EC mirror system does not operate.
  1. Electrochromic mirror circuit

If the suspected area above is functioning normally, replace the malfunctioning door ECU.
(1) After replacing the driver seat ECU, initialize the front power seat (see Initialization in Front Power Seat Control System).
