How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
HINT:
- Use this procedure to troubleshoot the power window control system.
- The hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) should be used in step 3, 4 and 6.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND SYMPTOM CHECK (See CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK )
- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)
- Use the hand-held tester (with CAN VIM) to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) Without code outputs, proceed to A.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) With code outputs, proceed to B.
B: Go to MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SECTION (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
A: Go to next step.
- DTC CHECK (See
DTC CHECK/CLEAR )
- Check for DTC and note any codes that are output.
- Delete the DTC.
- Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.
- If the DTC does not reoccur, proceed to A.
- If the DTC reoccurs, proceed to B.
B: Go to step 6
A: Go to next step.
