Window Down

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus RX 300 and 2002 Lexus RX 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: Sensor may be damaged if wiring harness is connected incorrectly.
  1. Connect the negative (-) lead from the ohmmeter to terminal No. 4 and the positive (+) lead to terminal No. 5. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION .
  2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal No. 1 and the negative (-) lead to terminal No. 2.
  3. Check that the continuity exists when the window goes down.
  4. Check that no continuity exists when the window is in the fully opened position. If operation is not as specified, replace the motor. See WINDOW REGULATOR (FRONT DOOR)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
