Power Steering Ecu ASSY: Replacement

  1. PRECAUTION (SEE  AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  ) 
  2. DISCONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.2 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSY LH (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  5. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  6. REMOVE CHOKE KNOB HOLE COVER (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY W/INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSY LOWER NO.2 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  )

  8. 8. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSY 
    1. Disconnect the power steering ECU connector and headlamp swivel ECU connector.
    2. Remove the 2 nuts.
    3. Remove the power steering ECU with the bracket and headlamp swivel ECU.

      If necessary, disconnect the connectors placed around the power steering ECU and headlamp swivel ECU.

    4. Remove the power steering ECU from the bracket.
  9. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU ASSY 
    1. Install the power steering ECU to the bracket.

    2. Install the power steering ECU with the bracket and head-lamp swivel ECU.
    3. Tighten the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 48 in. lbf) 

    4. Connect the power steering ECU connector and headlamp swivel ECU connector.

      If you disconnect the connectors placed around the power steering ECU and headlamp swivel ECU in step  8, reconnect them.

  10. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY W/INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSY LOWER NO.2 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  11. INSTALL CHOKE KNOB HOLE COVER (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  12. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSY LH (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.2 (SEE  REPLACEMENT  ) 
  15. CONNECT BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL 
  16. PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE  POWER STEERING SYSTEM  ) 
  17. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (SEE  ABS WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT (REMAINS ON)  )
