Inspection Procedure
- CHECK AUTO UP/DOWN FUNCTION (PASSENGER SIDE)
- Check that the power window AUTO UP/DOWN function operates normally.
- NG: Go to step 2
- OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE)
- INSPECT FUSE (PWR)
- Remove the PWR M-fuse from the instrument panel J/B.
- Check the resistance.
Standard: Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPLACE FUSE
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FOR POWER SOURCE OF PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY)
- Disconnect the P19 regulator switch connector.
- Check the voltage between the wire harness side connector and the body ground.
Standard:
VOLTAGE BETWEEN REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS AND BODY GROUNDTester Connection Specified Condition P19-12 (BDR) - Body ground 10 to 14 V

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FOR GROUND OF PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY)
- Disconnect the P19 regulator switch connector.
- Check the resistance between the wire harness side connector and body ground.
Standard:
RESISTANCE BETWEEN REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS AND BODY GROUNDTester Connection Specified Condition P19-7 (GND) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FOR WINDOW LOCK SWITCH OF PASSENGER SIDE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY)
- Remove the regulator switch (the connector is connected).
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between the terminals.
Standard:
VOLTAGE BETWEEN REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS AND BODY GROUNDWindow Lock Switch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition ON (Normal) P19-11 (PCT) - P19-7 (GND) 10 to 14 V OFF (Lock) P19-11 (PCT) - P19-7 (GND) Below 1 V

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the P19 regulator switch connector.
- Disconnect the P24 power window motor connector.
- Check the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
RESISTANCE BETWEEN REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS AND BODY GROUNDTester Connection Specified Condition P19-1 (DN) - P24-1 (D) Below 1 Ω P19-6 (UP) - P24-2 (U) P19-1 (DN) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher P19-6 (UP) - Body ground
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE)
- Remove the regulator switch (the connector is connected).
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between the terminals.
Standard:
VOLTAGE BETWEEN REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS AND BODY GROUNDSwitch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition UP P19-6 (UP) - P19-7 (GND) 10 to 14 V DOWN P19-1 (DN) - P19-7 (GND)

- NG: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY
- OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSY RH (PASSENGER SIDE)
Reference:
Check operation of the power window motor (passenger side).
- Remove the motor (See OVERHAUL ).
- Apply battery voltage to terminals 1 and 2.
- Check that the motor rotates smoothly.
