Inspection Procedure
HINT:
Check which power window cannot be operated, and then proceed with troubleshooting procedures for the applicable power window as shown in TROUBLESHOOTING PROCEDURES (POSITION AND STEP) .

- CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION (PASSENGER SIDE)
- Check that the power window can be operated with the power window regulator switch.
- NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE ON PASSENGER SIDE )
- OK: Go to next step.
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (MASTER SWITCH)
- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the master switch.
Standard (Power window regulator master switch (Driver door ECU)):

- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the master switch.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FOR REGULATOR SWITCH)
- Disconnect the P19 regulator switch connector.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of the terminals.

Standard:
The waveform is as shown in Fig 2 .
TESTER CONNECTION, TOOL SETTING & CONDITIONTester Connection P19-2 (MPX1) - P19-7 (GND) Tool Setting 10 V/DIV., 1 ms/DIV. Condition Operating passenger side switch of master switch
- NG: Go to step 4
- OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY (PASSENGER SIDE)
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the P19 regulator switch connector.
- Disconnect the B5 ECU connector.
- Check the resistance of the terminals of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS RESISTANCETester Connection Specified Condition P19-2 (MPX1) - B5-19 (MPX4) Below 1 Ω P19-2 (MPX1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU
- CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION (REAR LH)
- Check that the door glass can be operated with the power window regulator switch.
- NG: OTHER PROBLEM (See MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE AT REAR LH )
- OK: Go to next step.
- READ VALUE OF HAND-HELD TESTER (MASTER SWITCH)
- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the master switch.

- Disconnect the P20 regulator switch connector.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of the terminals.

Standard:
The waveform is as shown in Fig 5
TESTER CONNECTION, TOOL SETTING AND CONDITIONTester Connection P20-2 (MPX1) - P20-7 (GND) Tool Setting 10 V/DIV., 1 ms/DIV. Condition Operating rear LH switch of master switch
- NG: Go to step 8
- OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY REAR (REAR LH)
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the P20 regulator switch connector.
- Check the resistance between the terminals of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.
Standard:
REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS RESISTANCETester Connection Specified Condition P20-10 (SEL2) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the P20 regulator switch connector.
- Disconnect the B5 ECU connector.
- Check the resistance of the terminals of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
RESISTANCE BETWEEN POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH AND MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU CONNECTOR TERMINALSTester Connection Specified Condition P20-2 (MPX1) - B5-20 (MPX6) Below 1 Ω P20-2 (MPX1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

- Check the DATA LIST for proper functioning of the master switch.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FOR REGULATOR SWITCH)
- Disconnect the P21 power window switch connector.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform of the terminals.

Standard:
The waveform is as shown in Fig 9 .
TESTER CONNECTION, TOOL SETTING & CONDITIONTester Connection P21-2 (MPX1) - P21-7 (GND) Tool Setting 10 V/DIV., 1 ms/DIV. Condition Operating rear RH switch of master switch
- NG: Go to step 13
- OK: REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY REAR (REAR RH)
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the P21 regulator switch connector.
- Check the resistance between the terminal of the wire harness side connector and the body ground.
Standard:
RESISTANCE BETWEEN POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS AND BODY GROUNDTester Connection Specified Condition P21-9 (SEL1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the P21 power window switch connector.
- Disconnect the B6 ECU connector.
- Check the resistance of the terminals of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
RESISTANCE BETWEEN POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH AND MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU CONNECTOR TERMINALSTester Connection Specified Condition P21-2 (MPX1) - B6-5 (MPX5) Below 1 Ω P21-2 (MPX1) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU
- CHECK POWER WINDOW LOCK SWITCH
- Turn the window lock switch OFF and check that the remote function operates.
- NG: Go to step 16
- OK: END
- INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSY (FOR WINDOW LOCK SWITCH)
- Remove the master switch (the connector is connected).
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between the terminal and the body ground.
Standard:
VOLTAGE BETWEEN POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH CONNECTOR TERMINALS AND BODY GROUNDSwitch Condition Tester Connection Specified Condition ON (Normal) P22-6 (PWS) - Body ground 10 to 14 V OFF (Lock) P22-6 (PWS) - Body ground Below 1 V
