On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT OPERATION (DOOR MIRROR) (TAIWAN) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to the ACC position.
    2. Inspect the operations of the outer mirror bodies at each position when the retract switch is pressed.
    3. Check the outer mirrors operation as shown in Fig 1 .
      1. Put the retract switch from the (A) into the (B) position.
      2. Check that the right and left mirrors move from the drive position to the retract position.

    4. Check the outer mirror operation as shown in Fig 2 .
      1. Move one of the mirrors to the folded front position by hand.
      2. Put the retract switch from the (A) into the (B) position.
      3. Check that the mirror moves from the folded front position to the retract position.
      4. Check that the other mirror moves from the drive position to the retract position.

    5. Check the outer mirror operation as shown in Fig 3 .
      1. Move one of the mirrors to the retract position by hand.
      2. Put the retract switch from the (A) into the (B) position.
      3. Check that the other mirror moves from the drive position to the retract position.

    6. Check the outer mirror operation as shown in Fig 4 .
      1. Put the retract switch from the (B) into the (A) position.
      2. Check that the right and left mirrors move from the retract position to the drive position.

    7. Check the outer mirror operation as shown in Fig 5 .
      1. Move one of mirrors to the drive position by hand.
      2. Put the retract switch from the (A) into the (B) position.
      3. Check that the other mirror moves from the retract position to the drive position.

  2. INSPECT REVERSE SHIFT-LINKED MIRROR FUNCTION 
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Put the left/right adjustment switch in the L (left) or R (right) position.

      HINT:

      When the left/right adjustment switch is in the original position, the reverse shift-linked mirror function does not work.

    3. Check that the mirror face turns to the reverse position (downward) when the shift lever is moved into the R range.
    4. Check that the mirror face returns to the original position when the shift lever is moved into the other ranges than R. Also check that the mirror face turns to the reverse position (downward) when the shift lever is moved once again into the R range.
    5. Check that the mirror face returns to the original position when the ignition switch is turned OFF.
    6. Inspect the compound operation.
      1. Check whether the operation of the reverse shift linked mirror function and the manual operation of the driver's door mirror facing direction can be done simultaneously.
      2. Check whether the operations of the reverse shift linked mirror function and the mirror reacting function can be done simultaneously.
