Rear Seat: Overhaul
HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt table (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).
- REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSY
- Pull up the front portion of the seat cushion assembly, then remove it.
A: 100 mm (3.94 in.) or less
NOTE: In this case, hold the base of the clip up to prevent the cushion frame from being distorted.
- Pull up the front portion of the seat cushion assembly, then remove it.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 rear seat headrest plate covers.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same procedures described above on the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 rear seat headrest plate covers.
- REMOVE WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSY
- Remove the 4 bolts and the wind deflector board assembly.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 rear seat headrest plates.
HINT:
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same procedures described above on the other side.
- Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 rear seat headrest plates.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSY
- Remove the 4 nuts and the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.
- Use the same procedures described above on the other side.
- REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK ASSY
- Remove the 2 nuts, 2 bolts and the rear seatback assembly.
- REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
- Remove the hog rings and rear seat cushion cover.
- REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER
- Remove the hog rings and rear seatback cover.
- INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT BACK COVER
- Install the rear seatback cover to the rear seatback pad with new hog rings.
HINT:
- Do not damage the seatback cover nor make it dirty.
- When installing the hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as much as possible.
- INSTALL BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER
- Install the rear seat cushion cover to the rear seat cushion pad with new hog rings.
HINT:
- Do not damage the seat cushion cover nor make it dirty.
- When installing the hog rings, take care to prevent wrinkles as much as possible.
- INSTALL REAR SEAT BACK ASSY
- Install the rear seatback assembly with the 2 nuts and 2 bolts.
Torque: 18 N.m (184 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)
- Install the rear seatback assembly with the 2 nuts and 2 bolts.
- INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSY
Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
- INSTALL WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSY
Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
