Telephone Transceiver ASSY (2003 My): Replacement
HINT:
- The installation procedures are the removal procedures in reverse order. However, only installation procedures requiring additional information are included.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see SPECIFIED TORQUE FOR STANDARD BOLTS ).
- REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER ASSY (See Figure )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT (See Figure )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH (See Figure )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH (See Figure )
- REMOVE TOOL BOX COVER (See Figure )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSY (See Figure )
- REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSY (See Figure )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER INNER LOWER (See Figure )
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATE RH (See Figure )
- REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATE LH (See Figure )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER FRONT (See Figure )
- REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET FRONT
- Remove the 2 nuts and 3 bolts.
- Remove the 2 luggage compartment tray bracket fronts.
- REMOVE TRANSCEIVER & BATTERY ASSY
- Disconnect the connectors and clamps.
- Remove the 3 nuts and transceiver & battery assembly.
- REMOVE PORTABLEPHONE-L BATTERY
- Remove the nut and mobile bracket No.2.
- Disconnect the connector, and then remove the portable-phone-L battery.
- REMOVE TELEPHONE TRANSCEIVER ASSY
- Disconnect the connectors and clamps.
- Remove the 3 screws and telephone transceiver assembly from the mobile bracket No.1.
NOTE: The telephone transceiver assembly should be replaced together with the mayday ECU assembly. - INSTALL TRANSCEIVER & BATTERY ASSY
- Disconnect the 2 dummy connectors from the wire harness connectors of a new telephone transceiver assembly, and connect those wire harness connectors each other.
- Install the transceiver & battery assembly with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 7.0 N.m (71 kgf.cm, 62 in..lbf)
NOTE: Make sure that the last 4 digits of serial No. of the mayday ECU assembly correspond to those of the telephone transceiver assembly. - Connect the connectors and clamps.
