Cruise Control Ecu ASSY: Replacement

- SEPARATE BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSY NO.2 (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT PLATE (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CHOKE KNOB HOLE COVER (SEE REPLACEMENT
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL ECU ASSY
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the nut and cruise control ECU (distance control ECU) assy.
- INSTALL CRUISE CONTROL ECU ASSY
- Install the cruise control ECU (distance control ECU) assy with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
NOTE: Do not install the cruise control ECU (distance control ECU) assy if it has been damaged or if it has received some sort of shock. When replacing the distance control ECU, perform the following procedures to have the ECU recognize the spec. - Be sure to perform the following procedures after replacing the distance control ECU.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Push the cruise main switch ON-OFF button on.
- With the brake pedal depressed, push the cruise control main switch to RES/ACC 3 times within 3 seconds. Check that the VSC buzzer sounds at this time.NOTE: Do not turn the headlamp dimmer switch on at this time because optical axis automatic adjustment mode has already started, which could lead to incorrect optical axis. If the light control switch is turned on by mistake, readjust the optical axis (refer to ADJUSTMENT for optical axis adjustment.)
- Install the cruise control ECU (distance control ECU) assy with the nut.
