Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK RESISTANCE OF COMMUNICATION LINE 
    1. Disconnect the C10 meter, A9 A/C ECU and B7 ECU connectors.
    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard: 

    TERMINAL SPECIFICATION

    Terminal No. Specified Condition
    C10-28 (MPX-) - A9-2 (MPX+) Below 1 Ω
    C10-29 (MPX+) - B7-21 (MPX2) Below 1 Ω

    1. OK: Go to Next Step 
    2. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
  2. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSY (POWER SOURCE) 
    1. Disconnect the C10 meter connector.
    2. Check the voltage between the wire harness side connector and body ground.

    Standard: 

    TERMINAL SPECIFICATION

    Terminal No. Specified Condition
    C10-12 (+B) - Body ground 10 to 14 V

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: Go to Next Step 
  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSY (GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the C10 meter connector.
    2. Check the resistance between the wire harness side connector and body ground.

    Standard: 

    TERMINAL SPECIFICATION

    Terminal No. Specified Condition
    C10-30 (ES) - Body ground Below 1 Ω

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY
