Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK RESISTANCE (CANL - CANH OF DLC3) 
    1. Measure the resistance between the terminals CANL and CANH of the DLC3.
    RESISTANCE

    A 54 to 68 Ω
    B 1 MΩ or more

    1. A: Go to step   3 
    2. B: Go to next step 
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - DLC3) 
    1. Disconnect the junction connector (J17).
    2. Measure the resistance between the terminal CANL of the DLC3 and CANL of the junction connector (J17).

      OK: 

      Resistance: 1 Ω or less 

    3. Measure the resistance between the terminal CANH of the DLC3 and CANH of the junction connector (J17).

      OK: 

      Resistance: 1 Ω or less

    1. OK: Go to step   3 
    2. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR AND GO TO STEP   3 
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CANL - CANH OF YAW RATE SENSOR CONNECTOR) 
    1. Connect the junction connector (J17).
    2. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between the terminals CANL and CANH of the yaw rate sensor wire harness side connector.

      OK: 

      Resistance: 1 MΩ or higher

    1. OK: Go to step   5 
    2. NG: Go to next step 
  4. CHECK JUNCTION CONNECTOR (J17) 
    1. Disconnect the junction connector (J17).
    2. Measure the resistance between the terminals 1 and 4 of the junction connector.

      OK: 

      Resistance: 1 Ω or less 

    3. Measure the resistance between the terminals 12 and 15 of the junction connector.

      OK: 

      Resistance: 1 Ω or less

    1. NG: REPLACE JUNCTION CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
  5. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (YAW RATE SENSOR CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    3. Measure the voltage between terminals IG and GND of the yaw rate sensor connector.

      OK: 

      Voltage: 10 to 14 V

    1. OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. NG: Go to Next Step 
  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (YAW RATE SENSOR - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
    2. Measure the resistance between terminal GND of the yaw rate sensor connector and body ground.

      OK: 

      Resistance: 1 Ω or less

    1. NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 
    2. OK: REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR
