How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

NOTE:
Troubleshoot in accordance with the procedures as follows.
- VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP
- Go to next step.
- CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND SYMPTOM CHECK
- Go to next step.
- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)
- Use the hand-held tester to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) Without code outputs, proceed to A.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) With code outputs, proceed to B.
- B: Go to MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SECTION (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
- A: Go to next step.
- Use the hand-held tester to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (See
PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
- When problem is not listed on problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
- When problem is listed on problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
- B: Go to step 6
- A: Go to next step.
- PERFORM TROUBLESHOOTING ACCORDING TO MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM

- Inspection with the hand-held tester (ECU DATA LIST).
- Inspection with the hand-held tester (ACTIVE TEST).
- On-vehicle inspection (See POWER DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM ).
- Inspection (See THEFT DETERRENT & DOOR LOCK ).
- Terminals of ECU (See TERMINALS OF ECU ).
- Go to next step.
- Pre-check (See
PRE-CHECK ).
- ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE
- Go to next step.
