Front Axle Hub: Installation

INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE WITH AXLE HUB
1. Temporarily install the steering knuckle to the upper suspension arm with the nut.
2. Connect the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint with the 2 bolts.
  1. Torque: 113 N.m (1,150 kgf.cm, 83 ft.lbf)
3. Torque the nut on the upper side of the steering knuckle.
  1. Torque: 65 N.m (660 kgf.cm, 50 ft.lbf)
4. Install a new clip.
If the holes for the clip are not aligned, tighten the nut further up to 60°.
CONNECT ABS SPEED SENSOR TO STEERING KNUCKLE
1. Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
CHECK BEARING BACKLASH AND AXLE HUB DEVIATION (See REMOVAL )
INSTALL DISC AND BRAKE CALIPER
Install the disc, brake caliper and 2 bolts.
1. Torque: 118 N.m (1,200 kgf.cm, 87 ft.lbf)
INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
1. Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)
DEPRESS BRAKE PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES
CHECK FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT )
CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (See PRE-CHECK or PRE-CHECK )
