Front Axle Hub: Installation
- INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE WITH AXLE HUB
- Temporarily install the steering knuckle to the upper suspension arm with the nut.
- Connect the steering knuckle to the lower ball joint with the 2 bolts.
- Torque: 113 N.m (1,150 kgf.cm, 83 ft.lbf)
- Torque the nut on the upper side of the steering knuckle.
- Torque: 65 N.m (660 kgf.cm, 50 ft.lbf)
- Install a new clip.
If the holes for the clip are not aligned, tighten the nut further up to 60°.
- CONNECT ABS SPEED SENSOR TO STEERING KNUCKLE
- Torque: 8.0 N.m (82 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)
- CHECK BEARING BACKLASH AND AXLE HUB DEVIATION (See REMOVAL )
- INSTALL DISC AND BRAKE CALIPER
Install the disc, brake caliper and 2 bolts.
- Torque: 118 N.m (1,200 kgf.cm, 87 ft.lbf)
- INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
- Torque: 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf)
- DEPRESS BRAKE PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES
- CHECK FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT (See FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT )
- CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL (See PRE-CHECK or PRE-CHECK )
