Inspection Procedure
- CHECK COURTESY LAMP
- Check that at the door open lamp will be on when the driver's door is opened.
- OK: REPLACE THEFT WARNING ECU ASSY
- NG: Go to next step.
- CHECK MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH
- Connector connected, measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition D17-27 (CTY) - D19-1 (GND) Driver's door CLOSED 10 to 14 V
- NG: REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH
- OK: Go to next step.
- Connector connected, measure the voltage of the wire harness side connectors.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY - MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU FRONT LH)
- Disconnect the D8 switch and D17 ECU connectors.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Specified Condition D8-1 (+) - D17-27 (CTY) Below 1 ohms D8-1 (+) or D17-27 (CTY) - Body ground 10 k ohms or higher
- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
- OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY
- Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard:
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 - Body ground Not pushed (ON) Below 1 ohms 1 - Body ground Pushed (OFF) 10 k ohms or higher
- NG: REPLACE FRONT DOOR COURTESY LAMP SWITCH ASSY
- OK: REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU ASSY
- Measure the resistance of the switch.
