DTC Check/Clear
- CHECK DTC (USING SST CHECK WIRE)
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Read and record DTCs from the CRUISE main indicator lamp on the combination meter. Refer to Fig 2 for the blinking patterns of the normal code and DTC 52.
HINT:
If the CRUISE main indicator lamp does not output a DTC or normal code blinking pattern, inspect the following circuit.
DTC (USING SST CHECK WIRE)Relevant Circuit Reference TC and CG terminal circuit TC TERMINAL CIRCUIT CRUISE main indicator lamp circuit CRUISE MAIN INDICATOR LAMP CIRCUIT
- CLEAR DTC (USING SST CHECK WIRE)
- Read and record DTCs from the CRUISE main indicator lamp. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- If DTCs are indicated, repair the relevant circuits using the DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE ).
- Clear the DTCs according to one of the following procedures.
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal for at least 10 seconds, and then reconnect it.
- Remove the EFI fuse for at least 10 seconds, and then install it.
- Recheck DTCs (See step a).
- CHECK DTC (USING HAND-HELD TESTER)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Read the DTCs by following the directions on the tester screen.
HINT:
Refer to the hand-held tester operator's manual for further details.
- CLEAR DTC (USING HAND-HELD TESTER)
- Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Erase the DTCs by following the directions on the tester screen.
