How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT:

• The wireless door lock control system troubleshooting procedures are based on the premise that the power door lock and the power window control system are operating normally. Check the power door lock system first before troubleshooting the wireless door lock control system (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ) and power window control system (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
• Use these procedures to troubleshoot the wireless door lock control system.
• The hand-held tester should be used in steps  3,  4 and  6.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 
   1. NEXT: Go to next step. 
2. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK AND SYMPTOM CHECK (See  CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS CHECK   ) 
   1. NEXT: Go to next step. 
3. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LARGE-SCALE MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN) 
   1. Using the hand-held tester to check if the Multiplex Communication System (MPX) is functioning normally.

   1. B: Go to MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE TABLE  )

4. CHECK FOR DTCS (See  DTC CHECK/CLEAR   ) 
   1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.
   2. Delete the DTC.
   3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to prompt the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggested.
