Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT DISC PLAYER CHANGER (+B, ACC, GND) 
    1. Disconnect the disc player changer connector C3.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard: 

      SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester connection Condition Specified condition
      GND - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

    Standard: 

    SPECIFIED CONDITION

    Tester connection Condition Specified condition
    +B - GND Always 10 to 14 V
    ACC - GND Ignition SW ACC 10 to 14 V

    NG: Go to step 2 

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART   OR  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSY - DISC PLAYER CHANGER) 
  1. Disconnect the radio and navigation assy connector R4 and disc player changer connector C3.
  2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

Standard: 

SPECIFIED CONDITION

Tester connection Condition Specified condition
GND (R4-7) - GND (C3-8) Always Below 1 Ω
ACC+B - ACC Always Below 1 Ω
BU+B - +B Always Below 1 Ω
GND (R4-7 or C3-8) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
ACC+B - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
BU+B - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: REPLACE RADIO AND NAVIGATION ASSY (SEE  RADIO RECEIVER ASSY  )
