Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER AND NAVIGATION ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the M20 display connector.
    2. Disconnect the S39 amplifier connector.
    3. Disconnect the N8 ECU connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      MULTI-DISPLAY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER AND NAVIGATION ECU

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M20-26 (IVO-) - S39-14 (INT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      M20-25 (IVO+) - S39-15 (INT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M20-24 (SLD) - S39-18 (SLD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      M20-6 (IVI-) - N8-8 (VOI-) Always Below 1 Ω
      M20-5 (IVI+) - N8-9 (VOI+) Always Below 1 Ω
      M20-26 (IVO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M20-25 (IVO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M20-6 (IVI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      M20-5 (IVI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: PROCEED TO NEXT INSPECTION PROCEDURE SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
